Jamie Thomas, Founder at Beyond Walls

Jamie Thomas

Jamie has been a sports enthusiast his whole life. He found CrossFit in 2019 as a Master's athlete, and he was hooked by the intensity, the community vibe, and the challenge it brought. This experience sparked a desire in him to help others discover the transformative power of fitness. With a focus on creating a fun and supportive atmosphere, Jamie is dedicated to helping members reach their personal goals and develop a lifelong love for fitness. Jamie is a Level 2 CrossFit Trainer.

Julie Clow

Julie holds a Ph.D. in Behaviour Science and brings this expertise to help build systems of accountability, habit change and goal achievement across our Beyond Walls programmes. She holds her Level 1 CrossFit Trainer certificate, as well as Level 1 in Weightlifting Coaching. She has been an avid CrossFitter since 2012.

Barry Fleming

Barry studied Sports Science at St. Mary's University in London, where he discovered his true passion for helping people. He has dedicated himself to solving health and fitness challenges, providing education for clients. Barry is a Certified CrossFit Trainer (L3), a PN Nutritionist, a Soft Tissue Therapist, and has served as Head Coach at two other CrossFit gyms. He is also an experienced athlete in Hockey and CrossFit.

Meg Marais

Meg is a Certified CrossFit Trainer (L3), Certified Specialised Nutritionist and Nutrition Coach, Menopause Wellness Practitioner, Certified Personal Trainer and 200hr Yoga Teacher. She has a passion for helping people, and especially women in midlife, truly understand the importance of nutrition, find protocols that work for them and build health habits that suit their lifestyle. She is equally passionate about skill development and rehab, and is currently studying to become a Biomechanics Coach. Alongside her fitness and health education, she also holds a BA in Communications Management and a Grande Diploma in Culinary Arts & Wine.

Jonathan Marais

Jono has always been active and competitive, playing sport throughout school, university and into club rugby. That foundation in strength and conditioning naturally led him to CrossFit in 2016, a way to maintain that competitive edge in a more supportive, less hostile environment. Since then, he has immersed himself in the community, earning his CrossFit Level 2 Trainer certification to continue growing and helping others do the same. Jono is driven, encouraging and passionate about seeing people push past their limits and succeed.

Kerstin Hummler

Kerstin began her fitness journey in 2017 as a dedicated CrossFitter, quickly developing a passion that led her to become a coach and earn a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer Certificate. Committed to helping athletes push their limits and achieve personal fitness goals, she fosters a supportive and motivating environment.

Jess Braun

Jess loves all things chocolate, hybrid training, and helping busy people develop strength and confidence. As a dedicated HYROX competitor, Jess brings the power of functional training from firsthand knowledge, developing endurance, mobility and resilience. Jess is a Level 1 CrossFit trainer and a Level 3 Personal Trainer. Her mission is to share this approach with others, making it practical, purposeful and empowering for everybody.
